How does a Lean business work?

A business satisfies a need.
Lean is the method to reduce waste in any business.

What is Lean?

Some Lean concepts:

  • The Customer is first.
  • Lean is built culture that is less stressed. (Derivative of the Toyota Production System/Kaizan)
  • By coaching & training continuously; this provides increased value flow to business and customer.
  • Instead of building batch work; make just when needed. Just-in-time.
  • Lean is not sterile concept; just good processes at-work.
  • Any industry standard becomes "a joke" as the Lean concept is vastly superior.
  • The Lean goal is to see waste and eliminating waste through continuous improvement.
  • Hire for character and teach for skill.
  • People go to work to continuously improve; constantly re-adjust (saves time in the long-run).
  • Towards Zero Struggle. Work smarter, not harder! Why struggle?
