JAMAICA | Is Paradise Lost?

To Jamaican Stakeholder:

Why have some of Jamaica's best brands divested? Is Jamaica's heritage lost? Is management & leadership selling out the country?

Tia Maria - SOLD - The company then changes the brand image.

Tia Maria website

Air Jamaica - SOLD  The Company divested to Caribbean Airlines which then sacked Jamaican pilots and employees.

Jamaica Grande - SOLD - this resort is now owned by the Palace Resorts of Mexico.

The Ritz-Carlton, Rose Hall Resort - SOLD - is now Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall owned by Playa.

Sugar Company of Jamaica (Frome, Monymusk & Bernard Lodge Sugar Estates) divested to be under China's management.

Bauxite lands - SOLD - fertile soil that could be used for centuries to come sold @ 15 cents per ton. How many tons gone so far? Is this the legacy to "grow what you eat" true? REALLY??

Were there others? Did I miss any more?

So bit by bit leadership went awry. Can we now broker & negotiate for Total Quality Management (TQM) improvements to turnaround Jamaica's economy?

It's time... Jamaica!
